Enabling safe autonomy

Safety solutions available today with PL d are in most cases not suitable for field operations due to default one dimensional scanning based on mechanical bumpers. In a field with crops this often provide false positives and unnecessary stoppages of operations.
 
The AgriRobot solution however scans in 2D and 3D providing redundancy and a strong data base for detecting obstacles in the field. This results in a smooth operation of the robot and ensure the robot to stay within the borders of the field.

 

Software solution

Our SW has a core of advanced 2D and 3D algorithms developed according to safety standards, meeting the requirements to be CE marked to work without a supervisor in the field. In our development work, we use robot simulation, which makes it possible to develop and test the robot software much faster. Among other things, we simulate the use of lidar and camera sensors on robots.

3D Lidar & Camera

We build in 3D lidar to add a high performance 3D perception with a 360 degree field of view to the robot.

Radar

The autonomous system is composed of known systems such as GPS control, route planning, cloud and sensors.

Sensors

We select sensors based on individual safety levels to form a complet solution according to ISO 18497 (autonomous agricultural rights) and ISO 13489 (machine safety) with performance level d (PL d).
