Safety solutions available today are in most cases not suitable for field operations due to default two dimensional scanning based on mechanical bumpers or lidars. The AgriRobot solution is based on 3D data, provides redundancy and a strong data base for detecting obstacles in the field.
Our software has a core of advanced algorithms developed according to safety standards, meeting the requirements to be CE marked to work without a supervisor in the field. In our development work, we use robot simulation, which makes it possible to develop and test our software much faster.
Our solution use state of the art scanners, radars, lidars and cameras to ensure a 360 degree field of view for the robot. We form a complete solution according to ISO 18497 (Agricultural machinery and tractors-Safety of highly automated agricultural machines), ISO 13489 and ISO 25119 (Functional safety) with performance level d (PL d).
We are situated at DTU Science Park (Technical University of Denmark) and we have recruited the best and most talented Robotics- and Machine Learning Engineers - all highly skilled experts in autonomy design. Also our funders have a total of more than 50 years of experience from the agriculture industry.
Impact
Agri robots work longer hours and more effectively with higher yields as an outcome
Intelligent data gathering and handling enables agri robots to prevent waste and more sustainable production
Agri robots use climate friendly fuels as solar energy with less climate impact
By using agri robots, farmers can reduce soil erosion and preserve biodiversity
We are funded and supported by incubators, accelerators, and our investors.
We are experts in 3D data analysis and simulation
We are highly skilled robot developer and builders
We meet functional safety standard
We known the pains and gains of farming
LS Products BV, a prominent manufacturer of the Eco Clipper electric mower range, embarked on an exciting journey towards autonomous mowing, a cutting-edge development in the field of lawn care. To ensure the safety and productivity of their autonomous mowers, LS Products BV partnered with us at AgriRobot.
The initial encounter between LS Products BV and us took place at the FIRA show in Toulouse 2023. The meeting laid the foundation for a partnership that would prove instrumental in realizing LS Products BV’s vision about reaching a high productivity, a mower that is able to mow at high speed and will run autonomous without people watching it all the time.
Syb Leijenaar, founder of LS Products BV
“Agrirobot is a start-up company, run by people with a lot of experience in the industry. I believe in their concept of focusing on the safety aspects of autonomous operation in the field. This is something that is hard to develop and maintain for small companies. I rather outsource this to a specialist”
As our partnership with LS Products progresses, the companies anticipate that the solution will be fully operational later this year. This milestone will serve as a testament to the collaborative efforts and commitment of both organizations towards achieving the goal of safe high-speed autonomous mowing, eliminating the need for constant human supervision.
Our worldwide reference portfolio range from work in New Zeeland to several projects in Europe.
With Thorsen Teknik in Denmark we have established a retrofit project where we are converting a manned tractor to a safe and full autonomous agricultural robot.
With AllAgbot Nordic we are developing a safe and full autonomous crawler tractor, used for weeding control in Christmas tree production and afforestation.
