Safety solutions available today with PL D are in most cases not suitable for field operations due to default one dimensional scanning based on mechanical bumpers. In a field with crops this often provide false positives and unnecessary stoppages of operations.
 
The AgriRobot solution however scans in 2D and 3D providing redundancy and a strong data base for detecting obstacles in the field. This results in a smooth operation of the robot and ensure the robot to stay within the borders of the field.
